My Lover’s Gone
Montague doesn’t remember a thing. Not before the Vanishing Cabinet when they would flirt with each other when they weren’t trying to kill each other on the pitch, or after when her guilt drove her to accept a date with him.

After five years of seizures, temporary blindness, nightmares, delusions and hallucinations Angelina believed she was prepared for anything. Not this, though. She isn’t prepared for Montague’s look of utter confusion when the healers tell him who she is. She isn’t prepared for how cold he is afterwards.

The healers tell her to be gentle with him and try not to upset or confuse him. She doesn’t tell him the whole truth about them. They aren’t like other couples. They scream and shout and cause the neighbours grief. There’s an urge between them to consume and devour the other, to dominate and weaken them. They play games and test each other, driving each other to the razor’s edge. There’s more spilled blood between them than between enemies. They’re more than that to each other.

Angelina spins a story of star-crossed love overcoming all odds, using flowery words that turn her stomach. Montague ingests it all because the narrative is comfortable. His coldness is replaced by an attempt at warmth that will fill itself in later. It won’t be enough.

Montague does all the things he thinks is expected of him. He buys her roses, listens quietly when she complains about work, and rubs her back when she’s tired. He’s the perfect lover and everyday she loves him less.

Thanks! I saw your post pleading for amnesia drabbles and I had to write something. I didn't mean for it to be twisted, but I've been inspired by an old OTP of mine, so I'm glad I could make you happy.
